The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine is expanding its section of Pediatric Neurology. We are seeking Pediatric Neurologists for faculty and/or academic appointments. The successful candidate will be required to hold an MD or MD/ PhD, be BC/BE in Pediatrics and hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the states of Indiana and Illinois. BC/BE candidates in pediatric neurology strongly preferred. Additional neurology sub-specialization also strongly preferred. Candidates with clinical interests in one or more of the following areas: cognitive neurosciences, clinical epilepsy, molecular basis of epilepsy, molecular genetics, neonatal neurology, and ambulatory neurology are preferred.
Candidates with a research focus and with documented evidence of investigative independence and prior scientific productivity preferred. A strong funding record and outstanding commitment of clinical excellence are preferred.
This position carries responsibilities for teaching students, residents and fellows. Opportunities for interactions with the basic and clinical science community at the University of Chicago abound and are strongly encouraged. The Section is committed to a developing a balance between research and clinical activities.
