Chief Neurodiagnostic Technologist – SUNY Downstate Medical Center

SUNY Downstate Medical Center is recruiting a Chief Neurodiagnostic Technologist (CNT) to supervise their recently expanded EEG laboratory and Epilepsy Monitoring Unit. The CNT must be a registered EEG technologist by ABRET or equivalent, and should have a minimum of 5 years of clinical EEG experience, including of extra- and intracranial continuous video EEG monitoring.
The main role of the chief technologist is to provide technical, administrative and educational support to the junior technologists, the medical housestaff, and the lab’s medical director.
Preferred qualifications include:
• Graduate of an Accredited Neurodiagnostic Technologist Program or certified hospital program
• Experience with extra- and intraoperative corticography and cortical mapping
• Experience with Intraoperative Monitoring (IOM)
• Experience with Evoked Potentials including VEP, BAEP and SSEP
• Experience reviewing and editing video EEG monitoring studies
• High degree of leadership, organizational and teaching talents
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• High level of self motivation
