Composed of a Chairperson appointed by the President and the Chair of the Council on Education. Oversees the program development and execution of the educational events held at the Annual Meeting. Oversees the following subcommittees: Annual Course, Scientific Program, Investigators’ Workshop, Clinical Investigators’ Workshop, Pediatric Content,, AET Symposium, Practice Management, Spanish Symposium, Merritt-Putnam Symposium, Presidential Symposium, and other Educational Symposia programs.

Specific Responsibilities:
- Identify the educational issues in need of consideration by the Society through annual review of membership needs assessments.
- Develop a unifying theme for each annual meeting.
- Review all topic proposals from each subcommittee (Investigators’ Workshop, Clinical Investigators’ Workshop, Annual Course, Scientific Program, Pediatric, AET, Spanish, Merritt–Putnam, Presidential and other educational symposia).
Goals/Strategies:
- Provide/Increase opportunities for focused/specialized learning.
- Look at hte annual meeting structure: current mix of meeting programs, committee meetings, etc.
